11.26.15 - Happy Thanksgiving! Don't miss it!
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity...” Ephesians 5:15-16a
This passage of scripture reminds us to make the most of every opportunity. We need to do this regardless of the season that we find our self in.
On Tuesday night some friends purchased tickets for my wife and I to go see the "Peanuts" movie. It was great, but that was not the best part of the night.
The best part was the moment that Rocky Balboa walked into the building! He looked, talked and even walked like Rocky! I had to make the most of the moment and get a picture with this guy.
Clearly I was not the only Rocky fan in the building. He was there for the early premier of the latest in the Rocky franchise, "Creed".
Some people laughed, lots of folks pointed, but I took a picture! This guy was awesome! He would not even come out of character to tell me his real name.
This Rocky Impersonator decided to make the most of the moment. As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, don't forget to make the most of the moment.
Whether you are enjoying a meal with family and friends or playing a backyard football game, make the most of the moment. Whether you are working hard to provide for your family or dressing up like Rocky Balboa to help other people enjoy their day, make the most of the moment.
As Thanksgiving Day quickly passes and the Christmas season comes in full steam ahead, don't forget to make the most of the moment. Don't let Thanksgiving boil down to one plate of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Choose every day to live a thankful life! Gratitude changes everything.
Happy Thanksgiving friends! May this next year be full of gratitude and incredible moments! God has blessed us so much, don't forget to say thank you. Don't miss it!
