Motivation Monday 8.31.15 - Here we go!
Thanks for stopping by to read the very first blog post on the all new dontdolifealone.com! Don't do life alone exists to share hope and we are excited about what is ahead! There is so much that I want to say, but I will try my best to exercise some discipline here.
I would love for you to have a look around the site. There are a ton of updates in the works, but from here on out, there will be new blogs posted on Monday's and Thursday's. You can come back to the site any time to read the blog, but you also have the opportunity to subscribe to receive the Motivation Monday and Thankful Thursday blogs in your email every time a new one is posted. You can sign up for the emailed blog posts at the bottom of this page.
If you know someone that is incarcerated, or maybe they don't have the ability to make it to church, or maybe they could just use some encouraging mail, sign them up for Encourage-mail. You can find out more info HERE.
Last but certainly not least, I am very excited to share, that this fall, I will be releasing my very first short book titled, Thankful. I will be sharing more info soon, but we are looking for some amazing people to join the Thankful book launch team! If you want to be a part of something awesome, and you would be interested in more info about joining the Thankful book launch team, click HERE.
Since this is the initial Motivation Monday post, I will leave you with some encouragement for this new week that we have been blessed with. There was a guy named Peter (who also wrote a short book), but his book made it into the bestselling group of books that we know as the bible. Anyways, In 1 Peter Chapter 3 verse 15, he issues a challenge to all of us. Peter says,
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15
Our world is desperately looking for hope. If you have hope, you need to share it. When you eat at a good restaurant, you tell people. When you hear an amazing song, you tell people. When you see a great movie, you usually tell somebody about it. When you save a bunch of money on your car insurance, you tell people!
God woke you up this morning. He is the reason you have breath in your body right now. If you have put your trust in Jesus, than you have hope. This week, someone that you will have interaction with, needs what you have. Write down a few reasons that you have hope today, and pray for an opportunity to share that this week with someone! Let's help change the world together with one encouraging word at a time! Let's make hope echo.
Be encouraged and have a great week friend!
