Happy New Year! What’s next?

1.1.16 – Happy New Year! What’s next?

Hey friends! I hope this blog finds you doing amazing on the first day of 2016.

A new year always brings a sense of expectation and I am praying that 2016 will be a year well lived for my family, friends and Daybreak Church!

The last few weeks I have been thinking and praying about vision for the New Year. Every year at our church I hand out a vision/goals sheet for the new year. If you would like to download a free PDF copy, click HERE.

One of my goals includes writing more and as a pastor I want to help people grow in their faith. This year I am going to be writing a daily devotional over the course of the year. Along with that, every day I will be posting what I am calling a #RemainDevo entry on our churches Facebook page. If you would like to join us on this journey of walking through God’s word this year, follow DBC’s Facebook page HERE. Today's entry is already up.

Last but certainly not least, this coming week we are kicking off 21 days of prayer at our church. Every day for 21 days I will be praying over the items that people share with us and every Wednesday in the 21 days our church will be gathering for prayer and praying over the prayer request. If we can pray for you for something specific, please email us at daybreakchurch.info@gmail.

Here’s to a new year and new possibilities! The word that God gave me for 2016 is “REMAIN”.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

We all want to bear fruit, but that does not just happen. We have to be intentional. We have to remain. Zig Ziglar said, “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” This year I plan to be intentional and read, pray and apply God’s word to my life every day! I want to remain connected to Jesus and all that He has for me. Will you join me on this journey?

Be encouraged friend! The best is yet to come.
