I Could See It In Her Eyes.

I decided to get a hotel last night in Haysville, Kansas after driving 10 hours. It will be my only hotel stay on this 6 week journey. I thought a night off would be good to chill. God had other plans.

I had an important phone call so dinner got pushed back. When I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by a new employee who ended up walking me all the way around the restaurant before he sat me. It was stupid and funny.

When my waitress came, we had a good laugh about my free tour. It was late so she sat down, we talked and she asked me why I was there. I got to share about this new season that God has me on as a missionary.

I could tell that she was carrying a heavy burden. I could see it in her eyes. After the check, I asked her how I could pray for her. With tear filled eyes she requested prayer for her family and then walked away. God is mindful of His daughter, Melissa. Join me in praying for her and her family!

If you open your ears, you can hear pain. If you open your mouth, you can speak life. Pain is tangible but so is hope.

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
