On Friday I got on an airplane and flew from Baltimore, MD to Fort Myers, FL to begin my new season as a missionary with NMSI. I usually shoot for a window seat because I enjoy seeing the handiwork of God up close when I can.
This flight felt different. I've flown quite a bit over the years, but this trip has a lot more significance because in every sense of the word, I am beginning again.
Today at church we took communion. Communion puts us in a position to reflect and remember what Jesus did for us.
At least two hours of my two hours and forty minutes in the air were spent looking out the window with a whole lot of reflecting, remembering and thank you's.
Looking down from 30,000 feet, nothing was wasted. God heard every prayer, saw every tear and picked up every broken piece. And now... now I get to watch God's redemptive plan play out as I fully engage in this brand new season.
Thank you, Jesus. Exhale...
“Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”” Revelation 21:5
