Today I crossed a major intersection that brought some closure to a difficult season in my life.
As I reflect back on all that has happened in the last 18 months, I remember the high and steep mountain tops and the long and deep valleys. I see the scars and still have moments where the devastating circumstances that caused them rub against a tender place that is still healing.
But I also see God's faithfulness. I know that even though there were prayers that did not come to fruition how I anticipated, God still heard them. No tear dropped without Jesus knowing and I never walked alone.
Some seasons last longer than we would like. We can't always dictate our circumstances, but we can choose our response. Pain is tangible, but so is hope. Thankfully, nothing is wasted.
Regardless of what you may be facing, you are not alone. God is more mindful of you than you realize and He can show up right in the middle of your brokenness. I know because He showed up in mine. Fear, pain and loss want you to stay on the ground. The resurrected King is ready to help you get back up.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:1-2
