Motivation Monday 10.19.15 – Keep on keeping on!

Good day to you friends! I hope this blog finds you doing well.

Yesterday afternoon my favorite football team played their 6th game of the season. Going into yesterday they were one and four, so this game was crucial. They started out flat, but the last minute of the game they found themselves in a position where they had the ball, and they only needed a touchdown to take the lead and win the game.

They worked their way down the field and with 6 seconds left, they made their final attempt at the end zone to only come up short. It was a sad day for Ravens Nation, but the reality is, sometimes we get to the end of our situation and find ourselves so beat that we miss our breakthrough too.

That's one of the reasons that we felt led to name our church, Daybreak Church. Daybreak is the moment that the light pierces the darkness. The darkest part of the night happens right before daybreak. Sometimes we give up right before we get to experience the hope that comes from that daybreak moment!

When you feel like giving up, you need to remember why you started in the first place. Maybe you could care less about football, but for the players in the NFL, how they finish dictates their future career. God wants us to finish well, and because of who He is, we can.

Let me say that one more time. Because of who He is, you can!

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31

When you grow weary or feel like giving up, "He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."

The word for you today and this week is...

Keep on keeping on!

Be encouraged and have an incredible week!
