Thankful - Gratitude Changes Everything 11.17.15
Several years ago God helped me to understand what my calling is. Simply put, to share hope!
Most of my life I have played music and written songs. The last 10 years I have been preaching the gospel. For almost 8 of those years my wife and I were youth pastors, and then a little over 2 years ago we launched Daybreak Church in York, PA. I love writing music and leading worship! I love being a pastor! And I really love walking with and encouraging people.
As a child if you would have asked me what I was going to be when I grow up, pastor & writer would have never made the list. Even though they did not make my list, apparently they made it into God's plans for my life.
I really do feel that I am the least likely candidate to get picked for either of these positions, but God loves to use the least likely and I am so thankful that I made that list.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty." 1 Corinthians 1:27
Thankful is a short book but I hope it encourages you. I hope it helps give you a new perspective. We are so blessed, but far too often we forget to say thank you!
Just a note on the short book thing, things don't need to be long and complicated to endure. Dr. Seuss wrote “Green Eggs and Ham” on a bet that he couldn’t write a book with fifty or fewer distinct words. He ended up winning that wager using exactly 50 unique words. For the 50 words he used help yourself Sam I Am.
The message of Thankful has shaped my life and I hope it impacts yours.
My prayer is that God will use this book how He sees fit, to encourage those that need it most, when the time is right. This is a bold prayer, but God is really good at what He does! Choosing to be Thankful is the best way to live. I really do believe that gratitude changes everything!

I am so thankful that God's dreams for our life are so much greater than our own. I am so thankful for my: wife, church, family, friends and launch team that have helped pray and carry me through this process.
Be encouraged friend! I really do believe that your best days are ahead of you! And as God takes you to the mountaintops and as He carries you through the valleys, don't forget to say thank you!
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
