One word at a time

12.21.15 – One word at a time

Hey friends! I hope this blog finds you doing swell. I know it has been a few weeks since my last blog post, tis’ the season.

In my last blog I shared about not missing the progress in the process. You can read that post HERE.
Today I just wanted to drop some encouragement off!

When I am working out a lot of things come to mind. Sometimes I pray for people and sometimes I get message ideas, but one thing that I really love is when a scripture comes to mind that encourages me in the moment. One that comes up often is Philippians 4:13.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians

Ten powerful words.

I am a huge Rocky Balboa fan! In the most recent release, "Creed", Rocky gives Apollo Creed's son some advice during a workout.

"One step. One punch. One round at a time." -Rocky Balboa

Philippians 4:13 has ten words. In most workouts you do ten reps at a time. Last week while I was struggling to get some weights up in the air I was reminded of this truth. I stopped counting numerically and started counting via Philippians 4:13!

I. Can. Do. All. Things. Through. Christ. Who. Strengthens. Me.

If you are struggling, change up your strategy. Speak life instead of exhaling frustration! Take it one word at a time. Be encouraged friend!
