What Are You Fighting Your Way Out Of?

This picture was on the front page of a newspaper this morning. It shows a couple fighting their way through the floodwaters in Houston. The ramifications of this storm are devastating. But when I saw this picture this morning I saw more than these two individuals.

There are people all over the world that are also trying to fight their way out of the depths of despair. Fear, anxiety, loss, depression, addiction, sin (fill in the struggle), continues to be the louder voice. It may be loud but it is still noise.

You matter. Regardless of what you are facing right now, you are loved, valued and have a destiny that is waiting for you to get back up.

You are not alone. The enemy likes to isolate us when we are fighting through a difficult season in our life. Jesus is more mindful of you than you realize.

I'm praying for my brothers and sisters in Texas but if you are struggling right now in any capacity, I'm praying for you too. I'm praying that as you read these words that God would meet you where you are and minister to you in a way that only He can.

Be encouraged daughter. God is not finished with your story. Keep your head up son. The best is yet to come.

Keep going weary traveler. Pain is tangible, but so is hope. This may be a difficult season, but seasons change.

Keep breathing.
